Art Kintsugi workshop for CHUTZPAH Exhibition Wrapped up

The very inspiring and rare collaboration workshop, invitation by Jewish museum of Australia in Melbourne and an artiset Hedy Ritterman, will be a part of the current exhibition CHUTZPAH – Spirit, Recollecton, Self.

Time : 10am to 3pm (including exhibition talk by Hedy and a short refreshment break)

What is Kintsugi?
Kintsugi is the century-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer, dusted with powdered gold/metal giving a new life to when otherwise items would be discurded. 

During 4 hours hands-on session, you will learn the Art Kintsugi ceramic repair method, following the principal of traditional Kintsugi by utilising  accessible and safer materials.  

You will also be introduced a brief history of Kintsugi and the  philosophy behind.

At the end of the class, you will take home a piece of your own Kintsugi art, and a new skill. 

Please note:  

  •  Ceramic piece you repair will be prepared by us. (not your items brought in) 
  • For 18 years old above. 
  • Not recommended for pregnant person. 
  • No skills required.
