This is an unique collaboration workshop, Art Kintsugi Sydney with Eriko Takefuji, Adelaide based Chado instructor, to bring together the two essential tradinal Japanese art and craft based on Wabisabi Zen philosophy.Ā
In this full day workshop you will be introduced to the history of Chado and Kintsugi, followed by hands-on Art Kintsgui workshop (4 hours) and Eriko’s Chado demonstration with Matcha tea tasting and Japaneses sweets.
All together, 6.5 hours of mindful experience.Ā

+ All tools and materials including a ceramic piece to repair will be prepared by us.
+ For aged over 18.
+Not recommended for pregnant person.
+ We will be using alternative synthetic materials for Art Kintsgui workshop (epoxy and gold metal)

Japanese tea ceremony, the way of tea, is a spiritual and aesthetic training to refine oneself, and to be present to own mind and most importantly to make a satisfying bowl of tea for the guests.
